Vintage David Anderson Norway Yellow Enamel Butterfly Pin Brooch Sterling 925

A beautiful silver 925 butterfly brooch by David Andersen. It has been enameled in translucent yellow that shows the engraved silver beneath. It is stamped/signed on the back of the butterfly. It's in great vintage condition. It shows silver patina/tarnishing on the back due to age and could be polished and cleaned by the buyer if desired. Historical: Anderson opened his shop in Oslo, Norway in 1876 specializing in jewelry and silver wares. He died in 1901 and his family took over company operations and designs. Today, David-Andersen (the company’s name since the early 20th century) is well known for its mid century enameled silver jewelry.
