Hi Lisa, right now there are 2 main things effecting the coral market. The Asian market has been buying up coral like crazy just as they have been doing with chrome diopside, trying to corner the market. Do to these demands, there has been over harvesting of these precious treasures putting them in an un sustainable situation.

With global warming and high floods, coral reefs are at even a higher risk of facing extinction. My mother received these as a gift in the 1960's. I have no children to pass them down to when they might not even exist. How can you put a price on a piece that is priceless?
