The frame has 2 areas of wear; 1 corner and 1 chip on the back of the frame~please see pictures. The metal scene is perfectly intact.
Dhokra is one of India's prehistoric art forms. It is a metal casted art that uses the ancient lost-wax casting technique. This art is said to be the first of its kind to use a non ferrous metal like copper and it's alloys-brass (a mix of zinc/copper) or bronz (tin/copper), which don't contain iron. Since earlier times, Dhokra has been predominantly used to make religious figurines, animal statues, lamp caskets, and measuring bowls. Folk art objects such as men and women in their daily chores, musicians and dancers are also popular figurines made using this technique.
