Vintage Double Wedding Ring Hand Stitched Flour Sack Quilt Appliqué, 82x82” There are 16 rings in mixed material designs with a diamond border that uses the same materials. It has a plain white backing. Each ring overlaps another to form the double wedding ring design. It's done is nice muted & pastel colors which will go good with any décor. Size is about 82x82” It looks like the quilt is hand stitching appliqué, as the stitching is uneven. I can see were some of the knots have been tied off. It does have a bit filler or stuffing that looks like a polyester blend. It's very light and may not be flat inside. This is probably a spring or summer quilt. I'm not sure of the quilts exact age, but my guess is the 1930's-1950s. Keep in mind that this is just a guess. Overall, for a textile of this age, the quilt is in good shape and it retains its color well. Some of stitching is a little loose in places. It may have some slight yellowing on the backing and edges. There are a few little spots & little holes here. It does has some staining on the back. I did not try to remove it. I did not wash for fear of damage. There is a slightly noticeable smell and the quilt could probably use a good airing. It has been sealed in a bag in storage.
