- The faucets in this crystal glass piece picks up the light from anywhere and shines brilliantly. A beautiful Holiday, Event statement piece. I use mine for jewelry.
*I could not find this pattern anywhere. It is unsigned. I'm thinking Imperial Glass Co. because it is pressed with Crystal glass. It does fluoresce green. It weighs close to 1 lb. It's 3/8" thick. It's a beautiful piece. If anyone knows this piece please let me know. I think it is just beautiful.
The Imperial Glass Co. was established in 1901 in Bellaire, Ohio.
With the introduction of machine-pressed glassware in 1910, the glassware market expanded. Imperial Glass Company began producing "NUART" iridescent ware in colors of "rubigold, peacock, sapphire, rose satin, blue satin, iris ice, blue ice, and rose ice."
The Imperial Glass Co. began making "NUCUT" crystal ware in 1911, which was pressed glass made to imitate early English pressed glass. This new pressed glass retained sharp points and edges giving it the look and feel of ABP Cut glass. This top quality line was almost all on non-iridized crystal. It was made from pot glass and intricate mold made geometric patterns.
In 1932 the word "Nucut" was removed from their molds.
