My friend was kind enough to translate the characters for us:
First line “友谊之花” means ”flower of the friendship”:“友谊”—-“friendship”,“之” —- “of”, “花” —“flower”
Second line “恋” is the verb of love - be enamoured of, long for, unwilling. to part with
Third line “生命长存” means ”long live the life(?)”
“生命” —— life
“长” ——- long
“存” —— exist,live
I believe these to be Pamee Akha cross stitch. One of the panels has Chinese characters and says. If anyone has any more information to share in the comments I would be grateful!
From a similar post I fount on Etsy:
"The Akha people are an indigenous tribe who live in small villages in higher elevations in the mountains of Burma, Thailand, Laos and China's Yunnan Province.
This is a piece of embroidered cloth that has been removed from a piece of Pamee Akha traditional clothing, likely a jacket.
These textiles were often made using hand spun cotton, which was hand woven into cloth, dyed indigo with plants grown for the purpose, and embroidered with a range of distinctive motifs.
The hand woven indigo (or black machine loomed) cloths are covered with patterns cross stitched in very bright colors."
They look like they were done by machine to me but I am not sure.
In any case, these patches are beautiful!!
Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them!
I have a bunch of these patches in my shop, search "Pamee Akha" to see them all.
