Gorgeous Enid Collins vintage wood box purse made in the 1960s. A piece of folk art fashion history, the artwork was hand-painted by Collins. Its exterior features 7 adorable birds alighted on a branch, with the phrase “for the birds…” The interior includes a circular mirror with the Collins of Texas horse logo and the phrase “the Original Box Bag by Collins of Texas…hand-decorated for you!” The bag has brown leather strap fastenings, a black plastic handle, and a brass catch, hinges, and feet. Excellent vintage condition, with some wear on the fastenings and imperfections in the wood as pictured. The painting is still in perfect condition.
