"Sophistication is on the march.
Good love songs haven't a chance -
Old-fashioned wooing and billing and cooing
Go out as the brains advance.
This girl is opposed to the changes.
She responds to customs antique -
Oh, what's to become of the beautifully dumb
Girl with heart so romantic?
TURN BACK THE CLOCK!
If you want a girl just like this girl
Or the one that father married -
Prepare to advance in the name of Romance
And the day is sure to be carried!
