This ornament is very heavy and very old. It is thick glass with snowflakes etched on the outside...it has a thick metal cap and ring. It is showing its age with rust on the cap and the inside of the glass is dirty. You can see that the cap will come off but it is stuck and I did not want to break it trying to get it off. It is still so beautiful! 5" wide.

@hzetrouer Hi! Thanks for your interest! Sorry for the delay, I got it back out and examined it as closely as I could. I felt all around the glass and it’s very smooth, you can feel the etched snowflakes and that’s all so the outside is good. It is dirty on the inside and that is where I’m afraid something, like a scratch, could be hiding but it doesn’t look like there is.

@hzetrouer The metal cap is rusted and looking at the inside, it looks like maybe it was glued on at some point so it will not budge and I didn’t want to damage it trying to get it off to clean it. All in all, it is dirty on the inside but it is absolutely beautiful! No chips, no cracks, no breaks and hopefully no scratches, hope this helps!
