Vintage Figurines of Colonial Man and Woman Japan

Two figurines of a 1700s Colonial couple. The man holds a pink flower in his hand, the woman carries the rest of the bouquet. Gold and black hand painted details throughout- she has floral designs on her dress skirt, as well as gold shoes. His hat and cuffs are each a glossy black. Likely from the 1950s. "Japan" stamped on the bottom. 4 circles of green felt have been added to the bottoms. Approximately 8" each. Please view photos carefully for condition.
