Have to give credit where credit is due "Very rare Hy Jacker folding boot jack boot puller! I have never seen these before, and a web search turns up very little information on them. A patent was applied for in 1981, but lapsed because the applicant didn't pay the patent fee. I can only assume these were produced in very limited numbers because of this. Made out of cast aluminum, with some sort of rubbery sleeves over the gripping fingers and a textured vinyl insert (it looks like the vinyl used on the tops of cars back in the day) these are very solidly built little jacks. Folded, it measures approximately 7" x 3 3/4" x 7/8". It is very compact! Unfolded for use, it measures approximately 10" x 3 3/4" x 4". Featuring two fingers for removing the boot, and a footpad for holding it down with your other foot while it does its thing. Whether you want an interesting, cool, compact boot jack to use everyday (or to have out in the truck for when you might need it without it taking up a lot of space) or you are a collector looking for unusual and hard-to-find specimens, this is definitely an item worth looking at!"
