This vintage Austrian forbidden fruit brooch features brilliant orange Austrian pave rhinestones embedded in a pale orange Lucite cluster of grapes, topped with gold tone and green enamel leaves. This forbidden fruit orange grape cluster rhinestone brooch is a rare color, and is also a book piece, as shown in “Inside the Jewelry Box, A Collector’s Guide to Costume Jewelry” by Ann Mitchell Pittman on page 111. Forbidden fruit jewelry was made in Austria in the 1940s and 1950s, and typically has a translucent Lucite body studded with sparkling Austrian rhinestones.
