Vintage French Snail/ Escargot Cooking & Serving Dish, 19 hole

Vintage French Snail/ Escargot Cooking & Serving Dish, 19 hole, in excellent used condition. This is a stoneware escargot (snail) cooking and serving dish (I believe from the 1970's). Decorated in a rich 'chestnut' brown glaze, it has 19 wells' to hold the cooked snails in place. It also comes with a removable iron handle that makes oven to table so easy (yet stylish)! The perfect 'oven to table' dish, allowing you to cook and serve from the same dish, without needing to transfer the snails, keeping all the flavor of the cooking juices and giving you beautiful presentation at the same time. It could also be used for baked mushrooms. You could also use it to serve canapes/nibbles at dinner parties - it’s is such an authentic and beautiful piece! Measures approximately: 7.5” diameter x 1” tall
