Vintage Gem’s Suede Knee High Boots Made in USSR Moldavia SZ 39/ US 8

Preowned vintage; GUC. Some light discoloration at tops of boots as shown in photos and one boot has an imprint on the soft suede near the top as shown in photos Marked SZ 39/ approximate US 8 On 27 August 1991, as the dissolution of the Soviet Union was underway, the Moldavian SSR declared independence and took the name Moldova. These boots having been made during the USSR would have been a high value and highly coveted item! Women would wait in long lines and pay exorbitant amounts for non-essential items like fashionable boots. Knee high Brown suede Half side zip 3 3/8” block heel Made in Moldavia (Current Moldova) I believe the brand inside the boot is Gem’s but can’t be positive
