Vintage Genuine Ruby Pin

It’s new in package, but old and in good shape.It has never been opened. Since it’s still sealed in the package I can’t tell you if it’s goldtone or gold plated. The package says the ruby is genuine.  Package says “GENUINE RUBY, MADE IN U.S.A., EXCLUSIVELY FOR, Harriet Carter (R).” Brooch is approximately 1"×1”.
