Vintage Geoffrey Beene dress

Gorgeous Vintage Geoffrey Beene size 8 - heavy blue silk leaning towards teal dress. The workmanship on this dress is emblematic of the height of Geoffrey Beene's studio. The blue exterior silk has an amazing shimmer, the interior is lined in a matching blue silk chiffon, it has a hidden zipper to close the chest, quilting on the bottom of the skirt which creates great movement and structure and 2 side pockets. The sleeves tapper down to a quilted cuff, reflective of the bottom of the skirt. This dress is currently retailing on another platform for $1600 This is a size 8 but the waist is smaller than a size 8 of today. Measurements: Shoulder: 15 3/4" (maybe 16") Chest: 36" (18" armhole to armhole) Waist: 26 (13" across) Length: 51" Sleeve: 24" I went to freshen up the dress and found a light stain on the interior of the fly front - it is only noticeable if you spread wide the opening and pull it back, otherwise you can't see it and when you can it is very light. The last 3 photos show where it is - towards the botton of the interior of the fly front, the second to last photo is the stain and the last photo is how the dress hangs naturally. It took me a long to time to discover it!!
