dancer179 @svelluti this is 12k gold. It is a vintage piece. It is NOT gold filled. I know gold filled was popular for its affordability back in the day, which was why it would fade and turn your skin green. This is the real deal! It is stamped on the inside of the locket w/12k.

dancer179 And the locket does not come off the chain, incase you were wondering if they were separate pieces. Originally was purchased in NYC at a high end boutique on the lower east side.
