Vintage Occupied Japan Hand Painted Woman w/Bird & Flower Basket Ceramic Figurine Posing proudly with her yellow bird and basket of colorful flowers, this beautiful lady is dressed in a corseted, tiered gown complete with a fancy hat and hand painted gold slippers. Her light brown hair is set in tight curls, and the red of her pursed lips on her blushing face sets off the blue of her eyes. Marked on bottom: Made in Occupied Japan (referring to the years 1945 through 1951 when western forces occupied Japan) Resplendent in shades of yellow, cranberry, green, and blue, with gold accents. 9 3/4" tall, 4" diameter Excellent vintage condition.
