Each of the 12 plates is in a 15" square lined up in parallel lines on a white cotton background. The reverse is solid white cotton. The condition is very good to excellent for its age. We note a couple of places where there are small imperfections in/near seams, a nearly invisible yellowing along edge and some fraying/openings along the edge and within a few plates (see photos). This beauty was originally purchased at a vintage quilt shop on Nantucket Island and lovingly displayed and stored in my non-smoking NC home.
