Vintage Hawaiian Barkcloth Fabric Panel Blue Violet Teal Monstera Hibiscus Print

Vintage Hawaiian barkcloth fabric remnant. This is three pieces seamed together. I recovered it from a vintage homemade maxi muu muu that tragically succumbed to disintegrating iron-on hem tape. The dress didn't seem like it was worn, so this fabric is uniformly vivid. Soft hand, I think this is acrylic. You could cut a 26" x 38" rectangle out of the big center piece, at the very least, if you didn't want to deal with the seams and angles. Each of the 3 pieces is wedge-shaped from the flare of the dress, with a curve at the top from the U-shaped yoke. There is an half-inch seam allowance if you want to unstitch it. I cut off all other seams, there are no phantom stitch holes. There are a couple snags, and one slub. No stains. Gorgeous, deep color scheme I can only describe as Electric Midnight! Inky blue, ultramarine, violet and teal have the look of undersea bioluminescence or the aurora. Tropical print of hibiscus and plumeria flowers with monstera leaves. Great for patchwork quilt piecing, or could be enough fabric to make a skirt or child's dress, cover couch pillows or square off into a tapestry.
