The company was founded in 1885 in Wheeling, West Virginia by brothers Charles Brady & C.H. Tallman. It was called the Hazel Glass Co.
It was renamed in 1902 to Hazel-Atlas when it joined forces with other glass companies.
The adventure turned out to be a fast growing one that endured for decades.
They incorporated groundbreaking technology to produce widemouth jars at dramatically increased efficiency.
When it comes to vintage charm and a welcome departure from the big box status quo, Hazel Atlas glass provides a treasure trove of options.
The lightning jars were called that due to being able to open and close quickly.
They were initially created for home canning and food preservation, but have since become prized by vintage enthusiasts and collectors.
This is perfect for adding a touch of vintage charm to your home decor, or DIY projects. We always used one for storing unpopped popcorn.
Fragrance and smoke free home.
This jar has their True Fruit Logo on the bottom,
