Vintage "Hearts and Flowers" Cup & Saucer by Johnson Brothers

A lovely cup and saucer set made by Johnson Brothers and decorated in the "Hearts and Flowers" pattern. This pattern is characterized by a Dutch couple holding hands on one side of each piece and a stylized Pennsylvania Dutch bouquet on the opposite side of each piece. The upper rim of both pieces has a blue border of flowers and Dutch motifs. The colors used are mostly blue, with some reds and yellows on a cream-colored background. This pattern was produced by Johnson Brothers from 1974 through 1989. The bottom of both pieces is marked, "Made in England".
