This vintage and rare Hand-Signed Henriot Quimper sugar bowl is a charming addition to any collection. This single piece is a yellow stoneware bowl with a glossy finish and a painted Breton Man backstamp. The bowl is perfect for all occasions and is hand painted with a decorative pattern. The sugar bowl is made of earthenware and has a diameter of 4 inches, a height of 5.25 inches, and a width of 6.25 inches. It is an original piece from the early 20th century (1911-1940) and was manufactured in France using a pottery production technique. The Sugar Bowl is a great addition to any antique collection and is perfect for serving sugar or other small items.
NOTE:
Apparently the lid split, or cracked (Not sure whether the 2 halves ever separated or not), and someone at some point used a poxy to prevent separation, or to reconnect the 2 halves--I have no way of knowing either way. Notice on the underside pic of the lid there are 2 surface chips, 1 is 5 mm, the other is 1 cm long, also some porous discoloration on lid (though I suspect Magic Eraser would remedy that). Though the lid still is in fairly good condition. I suspect this piece was cared for, but suffered a shallow drop at some point. The bowl is in very good condition and I notice no chips at all using a magnifying glass, and minimal signs of wear. The pictures are indicative of it's condition.
