Vintage ILGWU Red Wool Blazer And Skirt, Size L

ILGWU!!!! The brand tag is missing, but the most important identifier is from our favorite women’s union, who never made a garment that wasn’t immaculately constructed and sturdy. The union label changed 4 times—I would place this in the 1960-75 era—especially given the length of the skirt, and the style of the jacket. Absolutely stunning—fully lined in a silky material a brighter lipstick red. The mandarin collar and gathered shoulders are next level—this two piece could easily be worn as separates, and worn so well! Reposhing this item I purchased from @montgomerygreen.
