Vintage Indian Pueblo Doll Handmade 1980 Native American. Mom loved dolls and this handmade Pueblo doll was purchased in Santa Fe in 1980, or shortly thereafter. The tag states the doll is signed by Patricia Pena. I did not undress her to find the signature. She has sterling silver and turquoise pierced earrings (pic 6), a pierced earring fashioned to be a button to secure her skirt (pics 7-9), and a miniature sterling silver brooch (pics 10-11.) The doll is dressed in traditional pueblo ceremonial costume. She has soft suede/leather boots. It appears her costume is handmade and has 5 layers to it: panties, slip, dress, tunic with woven belt and a cape. The doll has a soft body with jointed arms and legs. She cannot stand or sit without support. Her head is ceramic or clay. Her eyes do not close. The face/head does not have any cracks or chips.
13" tall. Excellent, clean condition.
