Set of 4 Amber Glass Mugs, Vintage Indiana Glass Tiara Sandwich Mugs, Vintage original Amber glass, Handled Pedestal Mugs, Tiara Amber Mugs. These lovely single handle sandwich mugs/ coffee cups, were created in a nice Amber hue and they are sure to delight you as a coffee/ cocoa mug or serving a chilled beverage! Amber glassware set was made by Indiana Glass Co. for Tiara Exclusives in the same "Sandwich" pattern which Indiana Glass originally made during the depression years. Tiara reissued the Amber glass mugs, as a sort of reproduction, beginning in the 1970s in a very slight darker hue than the depression era glass produced in 1920s by Indiana Glass Co. Tiara Exclusives marketed a wide variety of handmade and machine-made glassware, mostly all of a high standard. This sandwich pattern was popular in the 1920s and is has been hugely popular in the modern reissues of 1970's & 1980s. The glasses each hold 8 oz (filled to top). The glass mug diameter = 2 3/4" at 5 1/2" tall. 4 mug set. *The re-issues used the very same molds for patterns, from the original depression era glasses in the reproductions. The Sandwich pattern features neo-classical floral and foliage elements and the color is a nice rich amber, a side handle, atop a sturdy pedestal base.
