Gorgeous vintage Ingber handbag from the 1950s era. In incredible vintage condition, this time traveler looks fantastic for its age.
Ingber was a very high end brand, and the quality is obvious. How can this stunner be almost 70 years old?!
The colors are amazing, golds, oranges, reds, purples, blended together in a fabulous tweed material. A perfect bag for Autumn/winter! It will elevate any outfit its paired with. I especially love this one with denim. Granny chic!

Hi
Cute bag. Appreciate if you could answer a few questions.
- Being that this bag is vintage does it have any smell? ( musty, mildew, smoke, mothball, etc…)
- Any spots, tears or holes in the fabric?
-Can’t tell if there is a dark area on the right front of the purse or it’s just a shadow?
-What condition is the metal frame?
-What are the measurements of the bag & drop of the handle?
Thank you very much for your time in answering!

Sorry it’s the ’left’ front corner of bag ( not the right)

@bscmiller hi! I can check when I get home in a bit but it’s pretty pristine. I collected for many years and was particular with what I added, who I sourced from. None of my bags are from goodwills or thrift stores or tag sales, for example. Will look at it closely in a bit. No stinky smells. Thank u for your interest!

@bscmiller ok. First bear in mind this bag is 70 years old. It’s not new. And very old lol. That said, for a bag this age, it’s pretty amazing. Tweed is in great shape as is hardware. Some marks/scratching but insignificant imho. No oxidation. The left corner is purple thread. Right corner is pink. Hence the darker look. Interior is very clean too. Ingber made beautiful quality bags.

@bscmiller No bad smells. No musty or mildew odors. Slight closet smell in interior, as is the case with all vintage bags in my experience. I had/have so many, I did not put charcoal pouches inside. If u do, that slight closet scent should disappear.

@bscmiller Having owned over 700 vintage bags at one point I would assess this a 9.3/10. Measurements are almost 14 across mid bottom. 11.5 across bottom. 8 high, 3.25 deep. Handle drop is just under 5 inches.
