Vintage Iridescent Lucite Blue Rhinestone Collar Necklace Aurora Borealis 1950s

Vintage iridescent lucite and blue rhinestone collar necklace. Acquired from a private estate collection, this mid-century choker necklace is circa 1950s to 1960s. It features teardrop shaped lucite stones with an aurora borealis “mermaid” coating that creates a gorgeous rainbow effect. Icy blue rhinestones line the neck and accent the hook clasp. Silver tone metal. Adjustable length up to 15.5 inches. Very rare and highly collectible. Good pre-owned condition with surface wear to AB coating on lucite (hard to photograph due to iridescence; please zoom in) and some darkening of rhinestones near center due to age, but still looks gorgeous when worn.
