Vintage Jack Boyd Era bronze pendant necklace. This brutalist style statement necklace features a large pendant with an abstract molten design. The artfully melting edges and freeform biomorphic elements are signature to the Mid-Century modernist / brutalist art movement. The segmented neck is formed by long panel links connected with ball-end loops. Interlocking double hook clasp closure. Circa 1960s through 1970s. This unsigned necklace most closely resembles the work of Jack Boyd, a San Diego artist who did not sign most of his work in the 60s and 70s. However, since it is unsigned, we have attributed this necklace to be Jack Boyd “Era” as it may have been crafted by a peer in the brutalist art movement. Acquired from a private estate collection. 16.5” length. Pendant measures 2.25” length and 2” width. Excellent pre-owned condition with naturally aged patina.
