Vintage Janice Lee Ripley Dyed Yak Bone Brooch, Sterling Silver

Fabulous Vintage Janice Lee Ripley Handmade brooch. This piece is bold and brooches are back in style! Based on my research of her jewelry, I believe this to be Yak bone that has been carved and dyed red. This piece has carvings that have a tribal look on the top and bottom sections. The center piece looks like it could be bamboo. This piece is large at 2 1/2 inches long, and the top piece is 1 3/8 inches at its widest. The brooch is stamped JLR and 925 on the back. The fastener is in excellent working condition. This is in excellent pre-owned condition, the silver could use a further polish.
