Vintage Japanese Chinese set of 2 blue white porcelain sometsuke rice bowls

this is a set of 2 vintage blue and white porcelain rice bowls made in Japan and possibly China The bowls are made of porcelain and decorated in a blue and white style, a technique known as "sometsuke" in Japan. This style is common in both Japanese and Chinese ceramics and is characterized by blue designs painted under a clear glaze. The blue pigment often comes from cobalt ore. the bowl pictured on the left is featuring a blue and white design with lucky Kanji characters, Chinese characters used in Japanese writing. They likely represent wishes for good fortune and longevity, such as "寿" (kotobuki) meaning "long life" and "福" (fuku) meaning "good fortune". the bowl on the right features an intricate design including landscape floral patterns, and figures. this bowl is stamped with JAPAN.
