A brief history of this coin purse: Inden-Ya company was founded in the late 1500s and is still managed by the same family, in Japan. Beautiful Japanese craftsmanship. They have been making coin purses, purses, and other items (they still do) Their purses are known for their quality as they used deer skin. Whimsical dragonfly print over red stained leather. Gold-tone round minimalistic clasp closure. Presumed to be early to mid-century. handmade dragonfly print gold tone deerskin Japanese lacquer metal clasp closure cylindrical/ rectangular shape excellent condition overall it does have slight dark staining on the edges consistent with a leather item this age.
