Vintage Jessica Howard Raw Silk Dress, Size 6

This BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC "Made in U.S.A." from late 1980s/early 1990s is in great condition. The black background has randomly placed marigold "brush strokes" making this dress perfect for year-round wear depending on the climate in which you reside. The design and fit make the dress perfect for office-wear as well as with a quick change of accessories, perfect as an after-work cocktail dress. The unlined dress has small shoulder pads, which can be removed and a V-neck with barely there lapels and 11-buttons closing the front; 3/4 sleeves which fall 19-inches from shoulders with a button accent on each sleeve; two breast pockets blend well into the design and do not take away from overall appeal; slanted side pockets at the hips are perfect for slipping in one's mobile phone. Dress measurements (laying flat) are ... shoulder-to-shoulder: 16 3/4-inches; neck to waist: 16 3/4-inches waist to hem: 27 3/4-inches (seller is 5'2", therefore there is a 1 3/4-inch hem which can be pressed out / see photo displaying no discoloration should buyer decide to remove hem); armpit to armpit: 19 1/2-inches; waist: 15 1/2-inches; hips: 21 1/2-inches. Per the fashion period, there is a 36-inch cloth covered belt, which is 2 3/8-inches wide. The belt was lengthened in order for the seller to get a few more years of wear out of the dress. The 1 3/4-inch x 2 3/4-inch belt buckle, which is cloth covered shows three sites of wear. Excellent condition with exception of belt.
