Vintage 'Jewels' and Non-Diamond Gemstone Care

1)Please take off vintage rings & bracelets before putting on lotion or washing your hands. Silver or gold plating can wear off when exposed to moisture and rhinestones/crystals can loosen or lose their foil backing. I have gotten into the habit of taking my rings off & putting them in a padded area of my purse BEFORE I even go into a bathroom. 2)Put on makeup and hair products BEFORE putting on any jewelry. 3)Just say NO to ultrasonic cleaners. 4)To prevent verdigris/rust, no fuzzy cotton.
