Vintage John Jr. Custom Hat with Box, Handmade Woman's Hat, Dyan Cannon Hat

I have such a cool story surrounding this wonderful vintage hat. I saw this beautiful box sitting on the shelf and immediately fell in love with it, having no idea that there was even a hat inside of it. When I got home, I opened the box and saw the hat and the Mr. John Jr. label inside the rim. Upon some research, I learned that in the 1950s, John Jr. hats were the Chanel version of hats. He was renowned for creating custom hats for movie stars and films. Most of his hats came in a box that was clearly labeled John Jr., but his custom made hats were hand delivered in a custom box, which is what you see here. Here's the best part; the box clearly has Cannon stenciled on the outside and with a little more research I believe this is a custom made hat for the actress Dyan Cannon.
