Vintage- Juliana- Rarest of the 3- Articulated Mule Pendant Necklace

Reposhing this item I purchased from @lameyclimber. Loved it, but never wore it! This is a pretty well known vintage piece created by Juliana (it has been verified on the Juliana website), and is also featured in the Juliana Jewelry, The Last Generation book, pg. 47 + pg. 52. Created in the 1940s, this is the most rare color of the three mules or donkeys that Juliana made in this series. It’s a glossy silver tone mule or donkey that offers fun movement with the head’s ability to tilt. It has open metal work decorative curls throughout the body and on his forehead. He has lovely black glass Cabochon eyes that pop against the bright silver skin. The curls flow into a solid twin linked rolo style chain that is 25” long with a J-Hook Clasp. The necklace is adjustable, and can even be work wrapped around your neck a couple of times to show off the dangling heart hallmark. More measurements are in the pics above. It doesn’t seem to have much wear, as if it had never been worn at all. It’s kept very safe to prevent any wear from occurring as this is very rare and highly collectible.
