FASHION HISTORY
KASPER
Herbert Kasper started his fashion career while serving in the Army during WWII. He was assigned to create costumes for Army shows in Germany.
After leaving the service he went to Parsons School of Design, then went to the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, where he worked with Jacques Fath, Christian Dior, and Marcel Rochas. After returning to New York he worked for Seventh Avenue firm Arnold-Fox. Kasper was awarded a Coty Fashion Critics award in 1955. In 1965 Kasper joined Leslie Fay and designed for Joan Leslie, which was a division of Leslie Fay.
