Vintage Keyhole Escutcheon

Created by the iconic Londonderry Brasses Ltd. Company, this keyhole escutcheon was faithfully reproduced from a period original design through the process of lost wax casting. Finish is fumed antique, and is supplied with matching finish escutcheon pins. These pieces are made to order with a lead time of typically 6-8 weeks. Escutcheons of this type have been used on cabinetry and desks since the Middle Ages. They were generally fashioned from crude metal and served to protect the wood furniture from damage by a key. This is solid brass, and will add just the right touch of functionality & elegance to your furniture restoration project.
