This is a lovely vintage polyester dressing gown made in a Japanese kimono style. This kimono was made in Japan, most likely during the early 1960s, and features a gorgeous printed floral pattern with peacocks against a red background. The piece is unlined and closes with a matching sash belt.
Label: only a small remnant of the label remains, but the top letters of Made in Japan can be made out.
Sizing: No size is indicated on this kimono, but it should fit a range of medium sizes - please note the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 27” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam - the shoulder drops, so the seam sits on the upper arm
Sleeves: 18” from the shoulder sea,
Waist: 52” around, but meant to be cinched with the matching belt
Length: 36”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam
Condition: The dressing gown is in very good condition - looks like it saw little use with no noted wear, tear, soiling or staining.
This is a wonderful kimono style dressing gown.
