Vintage Koos Couture, Koos van den Akker 3-piece Suit

Koos Van Den Akker, Koos Couture. Koos Van Den Akker (March 16, 1939 – February 3, 2015) was a Dutch-born fashion designer who lived and worked in New York City. During his 50+ year long career, he was recognized for his Koos fashion label which featured flamboyant idiosyncratic garments adorned with Koos' unique collage work and cuts. Koos designs are worn by many celebrities, and he has pieces housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The most amazing vintage Designer 3-piece Suit. This amazing suit is an incredible work of art. Being vintage, it is in amazing condition. All cording is intact, aside from a little wear on the gold cord at the back neck of the blouse. The skirt has a hook and zipper closure. The elastic at the waist of the blouse is still very strong, the cuffs, not as strong. The blouse has a 1-button closure at the neck. There are no tags so I don’t know the exact size nor the fabric content. The owner was a small and petite woman. Please check the measurements in the photos. This suit would also look amazing with a black shell, and the jacket would look really nice with black slacks.
