Vintage Koret evening clutch purse for Saks Fifth Avenue

This gorgeous envelope style black satin clutch is by Koret, a pioneering handbag company that combined great design with quality craftsmanship. Sold by Saks Fifth Avenue in the late 40’s - early 50’s, it contains its own coin purse and makeup mirror in its own satin sleeve. Jeweled clasp functions perfectly. In great shape, and just the right size and weight to fit in your perfectly manicured (or elegantly gloved) hand. Measures 9” along the bottom and stands 5” high, barely an inch wide, but can accommodate a cell phone and credit card easily.
