Kuchi jewelry is the group of tribal adornments often made in Afghanistan, Pakistan, & parts of India.
The rustic but elegant look of these pieces has become popular with tribal, belly dance, fusion and festival costumes.
While some contemporary pieces are made in this style, there is nothing like the real thing…made from an alloy of mixed metals and featuring bits of glass, gems, or even plastic inlays.
It hangs on a homemade, raw (untanned) thong of delicate deer hide.
In great, vintage condition.
This authentic vintage piece is about 7.5 inches from top of pendant to bottom of bangles, and about 4inches from widest parts across.
Please note the decorative plates along the bottom are slightly angled in the ~5 o’clock position. This is not damage. The piece was made this way.
