Vintage LERU Maltese Cross With Rhinestones Gold Toned Clip-On Earrings 1960s

These vintage Leru clip-on earrings feature a Maltese cross design accented with sparkling rhinestones. The textured gold tone cross has a different color of rhinestone in each arm, with a shiny crystal flower in the middle of the arms. The earrings are signed LERU© on the clips. The Maltese cross symbolizes protection and is used as a badge of honor. This type of cross has a long history, dating back to the 12th century.
