Vintage Lamar Monitor Original Brown Calf Leather Womens Handbag Purse Clutch MCM 60s Estate Sale Find. Looking at handbag designs this could be dated from the 1940's through the 60s. I found the paper tag for Tanners Council of America in the inside pocket. No information on them online other then the publishing of a book in 1937 about leather tanning. The inside is very clean and the lining is well preserved in excellent condition. The leather on the underside of the handle is semi work and there are a couple small spots on the backside of the bag. Please see last three pics for wear.
