Vintage Large Israeli Glass or Eilat Sterling Silver brooch

Vintage Israeli brooch with a polished glass or stone cabochon. I can't tell whether it's actual Eilat stone or if it's glass made to resemble it; the striations make me wary of stone. In good condition, with minor wear commensurate to age. See photos for measurements.
