Vintage Laura Ashley black velvet and burgundy taffeta dress, size 12 (UK 14; EUR 40). Classic romantic 80s or early 90s formal dress. Fitted black velvet bodice is fully lined, with princess seams, scoop neck and long sleeves embellished with silver tone embossed buttons. Wide, deep red taffeta skirt (more in the burgundy tone range) has slight iridescent sheen and is gathered at the waist and decorated with black flocked velvet floral and butterfly motif. Back zipper closure. Wear as is, or really puff it out with a crinoline. One tiny worn area at top of zipper (last photo). Otherwise excellent condition. High quality, classy and festive, perfect for prom, holidays.
