I bought this gorgeous buckskin jacket for myself, but it’s too wide in the shoulders and it’s expensive to have it altered. It will fit Large and extra large ladies and can also be unisex. All the fringe is intact and I have conditioned the leather because when I originally bought it, it was desperately in need of moisture. If I was keeping it, I would also give it a coating of mink oil, which is available on Amazon for under $10. It has a couple of scuffs and scratches on one arm…the most noticeable one is under the arm fringe. A tiny mark at the back hem is barely visible. (See photos)
One leather button closes the front.
I just treated the scuffs with napa leather cleaner, and they faded a bit. Happily, the largest scuff is hidden under fringe. The last three photos show the arm in question.
Overall, this is a gorgeous, authentic, vintage leather jacket, well made in the US. For reference, I had one of these in the 70’s and while I’m no expert, I’ve rarely seen a fringed jacket with this quality, a leather button, and made in the US since the 70’s.
