Vintage Leslie Fay Original 50's Yellow Sheath Dress with attached capelet

This vintage beauty came from an estate sale at a beachside mansion years ago. It was so unique I couldn't pass it up! The self bows at the shoulder in front highlight the adorable little swag/valance/cape in the back which is attached at the top shoulder seam. It is a beautiful buttercup yellow, fully lined in a perfectly matching color. In modern sizing, I would say it's a 4-6 size. The fabric is not marked, but I'd venture to say it's a cotton blend. Not heavy, not light, hangs nicely. It's accented front and back with embroidered yellow roses. There is only one defect, and it's not really minor, but with all of the technology available these days, I would bet it could be repaired or hidden. There are two holes (moths?) at the botton of the dart on the right side of the dress; just below waist level. Picture attached. The lining matches the dress color so perfectly that you don't see it upon first glance, but it's there. Is a great spring dress and I've never seen another one just like it!
