Vintage Libbey Wise Old Owl Amber Glass Bank

This piece is a beautifully detailed molded owl bank by Libbey Glassware. It's a lovely deep amber color that shines in the light and appears nearly black in the shade. There is no stopper for this bank, it is a solid piece of glass. As such it teaches us the ultimate lesson of saving, that the bank should only be opened (by breaking) in the direst of situations and to access our riches a sacrifice must be made. This little owl measures 6.5 in tall and approx 4 in wide at the widest. It is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips. It is a very thick glass and fairly hefty helping it last for many more years to come. This piece is marked on the bottom Wise Old Owl.
