Vintage MCM Rosenthal Studio White Porcelain Vase Tapio Wirkkala Pearl Drop

Vintage porcelain sculptural vase produced by Rosenthal of Germany as part of their Studio Linie range. It was designed by Finnish artist Tapio Wirkkala and is commonly referred to as the "Pearl Drop" vase. This is the larger model, measuring 9.5" in height X 4 5/16" wide X 3" deep. It has an oval silhouette. It has since become an iconic design of the 20th century....it is not just a vase, but also a sculpture. Marked on the base: ROSENTHAL STUDIO LINIE GERMANY Tapio Wirkkala, and bears the artist's signature. It is in overall perfect vintage condition, free of chips, breaks, or repairs.
